Swedish verb conjugation practice

Start with the verbs Swedish learners actually meet first: vara, ha, kunna, ska, få, vilja, bli, komma, göra and ta. Each guide links to a focused mini-quiz, tense explanations and examples you can use right away.

10 Swedish verbs to learn first

These pages are the first quality cluster: high-frequency verbs, clear forms, examples, related tense links and a mini-quiz on each verb page.

Swedish tense practice

Work through one tense at a time. The quiz on each page is filtered to that tense so the page and practice match.

How Swedish verb forms work

Swedish verbs do not change for person. Jag är, du är and vi är use the same present form. That makes Swedish friendlier than many European languages, but irregular high-frequency verbs still need deliberate practice.

Best order for beginners: learn presens first, then preteritum, then supinum with har. Imperativ is useful for commands but should come after you can recognize the main forms.
